“Will he play or will he not?”- Frank Vogel updates the media on Anthony Davis’ Injury Status

Anthony Davis

The LA Lakers roster especially Anthony Davis can’t seem to catch a break from the injuries and are constantly haunted by them. The Lakers need a fully physically healthy Anthony Davis after his injury-stricken 2020-21 campaign. His absence on the court cost the Lakers their title last season and the hands are facing in the same direction this season as well.

Davis has been struggling with ankle and knee problems since the season began. Though he did play in the starting matches his time was restricted to either a quarter or quarter and a half.

The Lakers are in a very rattling situation with their star players injured the choices keep narrowing. Even though they probably have one of the most seasoned rosters this season still substandard performance can’t yield success if lacking the determination to win.

Frank Vogel gives updates on Anthony Davis

The Lakers Head Coach Frank Vogel gave the media the update on the teams’ star center/forward Anthony Davis. The Eight-time NBA All-Star was the late entry to the ‘Out’ section of the Lakers’ injury report on Friday; just an hour before the tip-off against the Oklahoma City Thunders.  It was said that Anthony suffered from knee soreness that he discovered in the morning on the match but the situation didn’t subside as thought so he had to come out of the roster.

The head coach Vogel said, “I don’t really know what the next steps are other than the medical team just said we want to find out exactly what it is before we put him out there.”

The root cause of the soreness is yet to be diagnosed as Anthony didn’t exactly suffer from any fall or twist in the Lakers previous match against the Memphis Grizzlies other than a devastating defeat.

The Lakers managed to register a win over the City Thunder this time by 116-94 after experiencing an embarrassing defeat in their math-up. The Lakers are 14-13 in the league and are looking to improve this score as the league is in its 3rd month and they are yet to find solid ground.

Davis missed 36 of the 72 Regular games last season, and the 2nd of this season. His stance regarding LA Lakers next match against the Orlando Magic on Sunday is yet questionable presumably he will undergo testing to find the main trigger.
