It certainly looks like LA Lakers’ marquee scorer LeBron James’ heavy-spoiler comments upon the Squid Game’s ending did not sit well with the creator of the show, Hwang Dong-hyuk. On a recent occasion, when King James decided to discuss the ending of the most popular show in the history of the streaming service alongside teammate Anthony Davis, Dong-hyuk was not ready to let the superstars get off easy. 

To those who are not aware, Squid Game is a South Korean survival web-show wherein participants play childhood games in order to survive and contest for huge sum of rewards. Ever since the particular Hwang Dong-hyuk’s series has dropped on Netflix in September, viewers all around the world have been hooked with the trend set by it. Even so, the Squid Game had LeBron James hooked to it. However, when the 4xNBA Finals MVP decided to take his discussions one step further, Dong-hyuk gave him a fitting reply which left hoop fans with plenty to opinionate upon social media.

“Have you seen Space Jam 2? LeBron James is cool and can say what he wants,” Hwang Dong-hyuk told The Guardian’s Stuart Jeffries. “I respect that. I’m very thankful he watched the whole series. But I wouldn’t change my ending. That’s my ending. If he has his own ending that would satisfy him, maybe he could make his own sequel. I’ll check it out and maybe send him a message saying, ‘I liked your whole show, except the ending.’” 

After Hwang Dong-hyuk’s comments, hoop fans on social media could not hold back their humour as the King was mercilessly trolled by the 50-years-old creator.
