Tom Brady is an absolute legend in the world of the NFL. Often regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, Brady has demolished several records in his illustrious career. He spent his first 20 seasons with the New England Patriots and played a major role in taking the franchise to great heights.

Passing yards, completions, touchdown passes, or games started, the man has got numbers that seem too good to be true in almost all facets of the game. Moreover, he is in his mid-40s and he still continues to perform exceptionally well at the biggest stage.

“The games are easy, it’s the other six days that get the older players”: Cris Carter

In a recent interaction, Brady was asked as to why he still continues to play to which he responded by saying, “And I imagine watching football on Sundays going, ‘These guys suck. I could do way better than that.” Commenting on the same, Hall of Famer Cris Carter made a few interesting points.

There are certain things about the elite people in any field, and Tom is the one in our field. No player in history has won as much as him. No player in history turned a franchise around as he did with New England and then have the best coach in football give up on him,Carter said.

He added that more than the game, it’s the preparation that takes a toll on the senior players. He claimed, “I do understand the relief from the expectation, but it is the preparation that typically gets the older players. How do I sit in these meetings five to six hours a day with these 20-year-olds and they are talking about things that are irrelevant? How do I stay focused?

Showering praise on the 44-year-old Brady has mastered the art of consistency by making use of the other six days to good effect. “The games are easy, it’s the other six days and harnessing those emotions that it takes to be able to play at an elite level and do it consistently for a long time and Tom Brady, he is the poster boy for that,” he said.
