Kay Adams on the show Good Morning Football discussed what would probably be going on the mind of the coaches with extremely high-octane encounters to come in Week 17. Kay, along with Micheal Robinson, Tom Pelissero, and Kyle Brandt made some noteworthy points on the show.

Micheal Robinson picked, the Arizona Cardinals’ HC Kliff Kingsburg. Robinson feels that Kingsburg has a lot of pressure heading into the week. “Kliff’s record is the definition of average”, said Robinson. The Cardinals coach is 23-23-1 since entering the league.

Robinson said that the Cardinals have a habit of losing in the final weeks of the season. In his first year as HC, Kingsburg’s team lost seven of the last nine games. In Kingsburg’s second year, they lost six of the last nine games, and this year, four of the last seven games. Despite being undefeated the first seven weeks of this season, the Cardinals lost their momentum down the line and have barely managed to enter the playoffs. So, Robinson stated that Kliff Kingsburg has the most to lose going into Week 17.

NFL Reporter Tom Pelissero chose the Baltimore Ravens’ HC John Harbaugh as the coach with the most to lose. The Ravens were having a great season up until the point where half of the team got COVID. They were 8-3 and then most of the players were put on the COVID list. The Ravens’ bad luck continued when star QB Lamar Jackson was ruled unfit to play due to an ankle injury. “John has never lost 5 games in a row as the Ravens head coach”, said Pelissero.

Tom said that if Harbaugh does not win in Week 17, then all people are going to talk about are the failed two-point conversions. The Ravens coach could have let the game go into overtime but did not do so twice. He went for the two-point conversions which led the Ravens to a single-point defeat not once, but twice. According to Tom Pelissero, it is important for John Harbaugh to win.

At last, Kyle Brandt had his pick in San Fransico 49ers’ HC Kyle Shanahan. He said that Kyle Shanahan is in serious trouble with the way Jimmy Garoppola has been playing. “Jimmy’s is flatter than the brim of this hat”, said Brandt. With only 8 wins this season, the 49ers are No.3 in NFC West.

There were serious questions being asked to Shanahan about why Trey Lance is not the starting QB. The 49ers picked Trey Lance at No.3 overall in the 2021 draft. So, Brandt thinks that Shanahan has the most stake in week 17. Shanahan has the most difficult job, as winning next week with Jimmy Garoppolo’s unpredictable form won’t be easy.
