Burrough, back in 1970, was first picked by the New Orleans Saints but the association didn’t last very long. He played just one season for the side before he was traded to the Oilers and the rest, as they say, is history. For more than a decade, Burrough featured for the Oilers.

As a matter of fact, he was selected to the Pro Bowl in the years 1975 and 1977. As reported by The Associated Press, Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk issued a statement from the team after Burrough’s demise in which he said, “Kenny provided the aerial threat and the big plays for Bum Phillips’ Oilers teams, leading the league in receiving one season and earning two Pro Bowls over his 11 seasons in Houston.”

At the time of his retirement, he was the franchise leader in career receiving yards and he still ranks third currently. I will fondly remember his distinctive double zero jersey racing down the field on another long touchdown,” he added. Burrough was a star. He led the NFL in receiving yards back in 1975 with a career-high 1,063. He played a major role in guiding the Oilers to innumerable important wins and although he has left the mortal world, his legacy will live on forever.
