As the NFL season comes towards the finish line, the conversations regarding the MVP of the league has already started to gain momentum. Leading ESPN analyst Marcus Spears joined in on it, speaking in a conversation with Harry Douglas giving his name for the MVP pick this year.
Spears named Los Angeles Rams’ Cooper Kupp, who he thought is the best wide receiver in the NFL currently. The Rams came out with a 20-10 victory in their latest encounter against the Seattle Seahawks, as Kupp grabbed attention yet again with a commendable display.
Cooper Kupp can end the season with a massive 2000 yards in receiving
Arguing his case on the talk show, Spears said, “Right now in the NFL, Cooper Kupp is the BEST wide receiver, and I’m not just talking statistically. Every time you walk onto a game, you know Cooper Kupp will be the focal point of what the LA Rams are doing.
Cooper Kupp has had a breakthrough year in this season of the NFL, which happens to be his fifth. Kupp has been a man on a mission and stands a great chance to win the receiving triple crown by leading the league in receptions, yards and touchdowns.
The 28-year old wide receiver has caught 122 passes on 164 targets, gaining 1,625 yards and scoring 14 touchdowns, leading the NFL in all four categories.
Spears also spoke of the possibility of Kupp ending up with a whopping 2000 yards by the end of the season, while also saying that the wide receiver is one of the main reasons for the LA Rams’ success so far this season.
