Mina Kimes Tears Down The Coaching Strategy Of The Los Angeles Rams Against The Undercooked San Francisco 49ers

It seemed that Odell Beckham Jr was destined to start his Los Angeles Rams journey with a reticent outing, thanks to an extraordinary illustration of simplicity and aggression, blended in the perfect proportions by the San Francisco 49ers. An ordinary 49ers improved their win-loss form to 4-5 against the formidable Rams who fell to 7-3.

This was supposed to be a turnaround night for the Rams as it marked the beginning of Odell Beckham Jr taking the field for the first time for them while they were coming on the back of a defeat at the hands of a mighty Titans. However, it seemed that destiny had other plans for them as they failed to get out of their shell while the 49ers left them shell-shocked.

This is what Mina Kimes had to say about the poor Los Angeles Rams

Matthew Stafford

The Rams never seemed to be themselves throughout the game as they kept on chasing shadows while the persistent 49ers didn’t make it easy for them either. ESPN NFL analyst, Mina Kimes explicated the entire fiasco for the Rams in the most simplified way. She was heard quoting, “Everybody and their mom knew what San Francisco wanted to do in this game … this was a failure of execution, but it was also a failure of game-planning from top to bottom!”

Kimes blasted the Rams for putting up a disastrous display in all three departments. She started her tirade by pointing out the debacle in the special teams’ display in the opening half. She highlighted the fact that the reason Stafford is there in the team is so that he can catapult the outfit out of precarious situations like early downs, cramped space up ahead or where the team is trailing.

Kimes underlined the fact how Stafford has been off his element in the last couple of games that featured off-target games, drops, a few of which cannot be pinned on many and his failure to run the ball successfully. She also broke down the strategy of the 49ers that simply involved running the football and eye Deebo Samuel or George Kittle. However, she spotted the fact that Jalen Ramsey was busy defending Jauan Jennings that made no sense.

Kimes concluded by saying that this wasn’t just a failure of the execution from the Rams but a total failure of the game plan from top to bottom for them. This is the second time that the Rams suffered a defeat since their last week drubbing at the hands of a superior Titans who were without their star, Derrick Henry. The clash against lackluster 49ers did very little to flip the fortunes of the Rams as they were thumped again and this time by a much-more comprehensive margin.
