BIG BLOW to Chargers “I don’t know whether I would play.” Justin Herbert uncertain about playing week 3 match-up against the Jaguars

BIG BLOW to Chargers “I don’t know whether I would play.” Justin Herbert uncertain about playing week 3 match-up against the Jaguars

Justin Herbert is one of the most exciting and electric young QB in the National Football League and he is expected to have a stellar year this season and lead his team the Los Angeles Chargers farther than they have in recent years but for now in a big blow to the Chargers, Herbert seems all but out of the week-3 match-up against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars are led by another young star QB expected to have a break-out year- Trevor Lawrence. Herbert sustained an injury to his ribs cartilage in a week-2 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes. Both teams are 1-1 after 2 weeks with the Chargers winning against the Raiders and losing to the aforementioned Chiefs while the Jaguars lost to the Commanders in the opening week and bounced back to embarrass the Colts. Although Herbert played through the injury against the chiefs it might not have been a good idea as he doesn’t seem to be better and has missed practice. He doesn’t seem to be confident about starting against the Jags.

Justin Herbert did not practice on Friday and was limited on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday he was asked whether he would play on Sunday and said-“I don’t know. That’s a decision we’ve got a couple of days left to make. We don’t play today, and so we play on Sunday. Whatever the plan is, I know our team is going to be prepared and do everything we can. That decision will be made on Sunday. Haven’t ruled anything out.”

In Herbert’s absence career backup Chase Daniel will be the starter which has led to a swing in the odds for the game but the chargers are still the favorites although many experts are predicting the Jags to take the W.
