During the Dallas Cowboys‘ game against the New York Giants, Giants’ coach Brian Daboll was very frustrated at a particular call by the referee in the first quarter and rightly so, expressed his rage by lashing out at the referee. The Cowboys defeated the Giants despite being on the back foot after an inspired third quarter where the Cowboys scored two touchdowns.

The Giants had a very solid 6-1 start to the season but in the last 4 games they’ve played; they lost 3 of them. Against the Cowboys too, the Giants looked very commanding in the first two quarters. 5 minutes into the match, the Giants were allegedly robbed off a touchdown and had to settle for 3 points via a kick.

The touchdown was scored, but the referee deemed a foul on the Giants’ part and the touchdown wasn’t considered. Everybody was in shock as the Giants should’ve had a touchdown to their names. Giants’ coach Brian Daboll expressed his rage by yelling at the referee and throwing his cap in frustration in front of him.

NFL fans on social media were very upset by the referee’s ruling. They rallied with Daboll and deemed him correct for his anger. There was no foul, and the touchdown wasn’t to be reversed. Some fans even accused Cowboys owner Jerry Jones of bribing the referee, given his influential aura in the NFL.

The Giants will return to the MetLife Stadium next week to take on the Commanders and will follow it up with a mammoth clash against the Eagles. They will face the Commanders again before taking on the Vikings on Christmas eve. The Giants are third in the NFC East division- behind the Eagles and the Cowboys.
