Emmanuel Acho believes the Jets’ defense will be under ‘more’ pressure than their offense led by Aaron Rodgers

The NFL season is about to kickstart and the TV programs are being flared up with intense debates and discussions. The analysts are being seen picking up their sides. Forecasting names of the best teams and players for the upcoming season.

In one of the episodes of the popular football podcasting show, Speak, analyst Emmanuel Acho was seen saying that the New York Jets under the leadership of the quarterback Aaron Rodgers, will feel pressure in their defense. In the podcasting show, other panelists were seen discussing the Jets’ attack line. It is expected that the Jets will have a good attacking intent this season with the inclusion of Aaron Rodgers. However, Acho believes that they need to have more focus on the defense.

“You’re answer of I believe the pressure is more on defense. Everyone on this desk rightfully so is saying the Jets have the hi-fi defense… if the offense does if the offense does that…but what happens when the offense does? What happens when the offense go on scoring 28 plus and the Jets lose by 31-28? What happens if the Jets have to play Kansas City Chiefs? Because they have to,” Emmanuel Acho said.

He went on to say, “Remember in the first six weeks of the season, the  Jets will play 2022 MVP, 2022 runner-up for MVP, 2021 MVP, 2021 runner-up for MVP. In my mind, I will acknowledge my bias because I am the loan defender on the desk but I am also thinking the Jets defense did not have to get tested enough because their offense was so bad.”

How the New York Jets are gearing up?

The Jets this offseason traded Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers. After spending 18 years with the Packers, Rodgers will be the Jets’ main attraction this season. The star QB played his first preseason game since the year 2018. 

In their four preseason game, the Jets won two and lost two. They beat the New York Giants by 32-24 and the Carolina Panthers by 27-0. However, they left the field with disappointment against both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Cleveland Browns. Against the Bucs, they lost by 6-13. On the other hand, they lost by 21-16 against the Browns. 

.It is to be seen whether the Jets perform well in the coming season with their defensive line-up.
