Tua Tagovailoa has had a rough week in the NFL. Tua suffered two concussions in two consecutive games. The 24-year-old was taken to the hospital when he suffered another head injury on Thursday Night Football against the Bengals.
Tua Tagovailoa hit his head when he was tackled by the Bengals defender and the Dolphins QB couldn’t move for some minutes after that. A stretcher was called to cart off the QB and they took him straight to a hospital for treatment.
This is the second incident for Tua Tagovailoa in two consecutive games. In the Dolphins-Bills game Tua Tagovailoa hit the ground and was seen wobbling on the field before being taken off, but to everyone’s surprise the QB was back on the field in the last quarter to help the team win.
Chris Nowinski, Neuroscientist, PhD was furious with the Miami Dolphins for the treatment of Tua Tagovailoa. Nowinski said that the QB should not have returned for the Bills game let alone play the Bengals game. If Tua had a possible concussion then it can lead to something bigger and more lethal.
“You guys should go to jail for letting him play 5 days after an obvious #concussion you covered up. If he dies from second-impact syndrome, I’m pushing form murder charges.” Chris Nowinski stated on his Twitter.
“Pray for Tua we saw this coming” Chris Nowinski calls out the NFL and the Dolphins for not taking Tua Tagovailoa’s injury seriosuly
Chris Nowinski went on a rant on Twitter to call out all those involved in this massive mishap. He thinks that the Dolphins and the NFL are equally involved in allowing Tua Tagovailoa to play despite suffering several head injuries.
Nowinski thinks that there’s a high possibility that Tua Tagovailoa could lose his life. “I take no pleasure in being right. Pray for Tua. We saw this coming. Get angry. Get involved with @ConcussionLF to make sure the @NFL can’t do this again.” Chris Nowinski stated.
Tua Tagovailoa is currently in the hospital but he will be discharged very soon as he has gone through all the concussions protocol. The Dolphins should give their star QB a break to rest and not aggravate the injury.
