There has been a rather raging topic in the United States of America at the moment regarding the abortion laws. While many protests have been made to ensure that abortion is not considered a crime, the results from the court has been different.
In the Roe v. Wade case in Washington, a federal court judge green-lit Ohio’s own home-grown abortion ban, making any abortions after fetal cardiac activity a crime. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has come out on this topic on his Instagram page and said that he’s not pro murdering babies but instead he’s pro saving the lives of women.
Jason Whitlock says that abortion is convenient for women who are irresponsible
Joe Burrow gave the example of multiple women on his Instagram post as he tried to illustrate on the point that while abortion does take the life out of an unborn child, it can equally affect the life of the mother who is pregnant not by her choice. “You can argue and say that I’m pro-choice all you want, but the truth is: I’m pro-life. Their lives. Women’s lives.”
However Jason Whitlock has hit back at Joe Burrow for his views and says that while women do suffer in such cases, that percentage is less compared to the ones who do it on purpose.
“I think most of us are pro-the women Joe Burrow referenced on his Instagram. Tragic stories. I would like to respectfully ask Joe Burrow is he pro-Adrien Broner: “I would have 30 babies if not for abortion.” It’s not safe, legal and rare. It’s more convenient and irresponsible,” he said.
“We are ALL pro-those women. What we aren’t is the real-life fact that north of 99% of abortions are NOT done because of at-risk health of the child or mother. It’s less than 1% and has been for decades. Abortion is about convenience, or rather inconvenience to the mother,”said Curt Schilling.
