Stephen A. Smith recently went on his infamous Dallas Cowboys bashing rant again. He called their QB Dak Prescott‘s comments about the team’s offensive changes and how they are dealing with them “the most useless quote in sports!”

The Cowboys recently started their offseason training with changes, as coach Mike McCarthy is now calling the shots after former offensive coordinator Kellen Moore joined the Los Angeles Chargers. “There are some changes. It’s not like we’re going to throw away our playbook and try to start over or anything like that. Obviously, we’ve had some success. There is good there,” Prescott said while addressing the media.

ESPN’s The First Take host Stephen A. Smith slammed the Cowboys‘ quarterback on this statement. He said, “Dak Prescott’s words mean absolutely nothing to me; they should mean absolutely nothing to anybody, any football fan out there.” Moreover, the charismatic presenter even went on to say that Prescott says the same thing over and over every season.

Smith further said, “You go find clips of Dak Prescott from any season from his rookie year to now, eight and nine years later, the beginning of the season, three-quarters of the season, the postseason! when he gets there, and certainly after he loses! which is always inevitable; it’s the same damn thing; it never changes!”

Smith didn’t hold back against Prescott, going on to criticize his way of looking at things on and off the field. He seemed to have had enough of the chilled-out attitude of the Cowboys QB and said, “This is who he is!” Moreover, he went on to say that Prescott says the same thing each season about his and the team’s performance.

The No. 1 Cowboys hater said, “I’m very confident in this! I’m very, very good about us right now. I mean, we’ve got to work on some things, but we’re going to work on those that we’re just going to get.” Smith concluded by saying that Prescott thinks he’s one of those people who tries to better themselves by looking into the mirror.

The Cowboys finished second in the NFC East with a 12-5 record in the regular season. However, the loss of their former offensive callers left some gaps to fill, which coach McCarthy is currently dealing with. Prescott admitted that he is getting used to the offensive calls and admitted that it’s “a little different.” “You hear that accent a little bit more when he’s calling these plays,” said Prescott jokingly about McCarthy’s accent in the recent presser.

Prescott and his teammates seem to be happy with the changes so far and even called them “refreshing”. “No, it’s been fun being able to work with him in that way every day, hands-on. It’s exciting. It’s refreshing,” said Prescott as they continue their offseason workouts in June (June 1-2, June 6-7, and June 9-10).

As per Article 21 of the CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement), the Dallas Cowboys will have an on-field workout that may include “perfect play drills.”
