The Miami Dolphins have a new team this year, they have made one key addition to their offense by trading for Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs. This gives their wideout spot an additional weapon, Hill is known for his insane speed and amazing route-running capabilities. The Dolphins have a talented roster on paper with many young players and a lot of potential.
The team’s performance this season will be dependent on if their quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa will be healthy and able to play well season. Tua has been heavily criticized as a lot of analysts and coaches think he is a bust and cannot throw the ball well. He can run with the ball but throwing is the most important aspect of being a quarterback. To add fuel to the fire, a video of Tua underthrowing the ball to Tyreek Hill at the team’s training camp surfaced which led to fans trolling him more.
“I’m very confident in my QB”: Tyreek Hill defends Tua Tagovailoa
Tyreek Hill is no stranger to recognizing greatness in terms of arm strength, he played with Patrick Mahomes, arguably one of the best quarterbacks in the league with a cannon for an arm. Mahomes throws near-perfect passes every single time so Hill knows a thing or two on how to judge a quarterback’s arm talent.
Hill spoke to the media during the 2022 organized team activities and during this, he was asked about the clip that went viral. Tyreek agreed that he was a bit unsure of what to expect from Tua when he was traded to Miami as he also had heard about all the talk and how Tua cannot throw a deep throw, “It’s nothing weird, at first, I thought it was going to be something crazy, the ball going all over the place but Tua actually has probably one of the prettiest balls I’ve ever caught in my life. It’s very catchable.”
That is some high praise coming from a guy who played alongside Patrick Mahomes. The wideout also expressed his confidence in Tua by telling that, “I’m very confident in my QB… he has crazy arm strength.” This was also an indirect and subtle dig at all those critics who have claimed that the QB cannot throw the ball deep.
We will have to wait and see if what Hill says is true during the regular season as we will be able to judge his true arm strength by his performance.
