Former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton is one of the hottest names this season when it comes to the list of head coaches available. Payton was recently linked to the Carolina Panthers, but that option is no longer there as they appointed Frank Reich as their head coach on Thursday.

It is no secret that Sean Payton is an offensive mastermind. He completely transformed the history of the New Orleans Saints with his tactics and definitely can do the same for the Denver Broncos.

Another thing that will appeal to the Denver Broncos, even more, is the partnership between Sean Payton and a quality quarterback such as Russell Wilson. After a tumultuous season for Wilson, he will need to make a strong comeback, and who better than Payton to orchestrate that?

Recently, it was tweeted by an NFL insider that Sean Payton’s meeting with the Denver Broncos management team wasn’t that good and might be the reason for a falloff. However, this rumor has been disbanded by Payton himself on Twitter.

Mark Maske, who works as an NFL reporter for the Washington Post, tweeted – “The Panthers are no longer an option for Sean Payton. And there was an issue with Payton’s interview with the Broncos. Payton likes the idea of coaching Russell Wilson and having that defense but fears a potential power struggle with a member of the ownership group, source says.”

However, Sean Payton was quick to react to this and declared that there was absolutely nothing true about this rumor. He had a great visit with the Denver Broncos ownership team and there were no arguments.

The Denver Broncos owner Rob Walton is a big admirer of Sean Payton and wants to bring him over, which can be the ultimate push. Another factor that needs to be kept in mind is that the Broncos will be able to afford the hefty price tag that he comes with, which other franchises might find difficult to cope with.
