Star QB Russell Wilson has been in the limelight for quite some time now. For the Seahawks, he wasn’t able to perform as per expectations in the last season and we were expecting him to find another franchise which is exactly what happened. The talented QB was recently roped in by the Denver Broncos.

It would be fair to say that his magic has already started working as after Wilson was confirmed as the new quarterback for the Broncos, the sales of his new jersey ended up breaking all the records. However, it is true that even for someone as talented as Wilson, the transition from one franchise to another after spending so much time in one place would be a little tough.

“Russell Wilson and I have had conversations about a smooth transition to the Broncos”: Peyton Manning

A great quarterback who played the final four seasons of his career in Denver after spending as many as 14 years with the Indianapolis Colts is Peyton Manning. Manning decided to play for the Broncos in 2012 after he was released from Indianapolis.

Needless to say, Peyton enjoyed his time with the Broncos. As someone who has been in a similar position as Wilson is at this moment, Manning claimed he has shared a few words of wisdom with the new Broncos recruit. “I’ve talked to Russell a number of times, and we’ve had conversations about some of the things that helped me in my transition to a different team that I think can apply to anybody making the jump, especially after being in a place for a long time,” Manning said.

Manning told the Denver Post’s Ryan O’Halloran that “I’ve had conversations with Coach Nathaniel Hackett as well about some of those things, maybe some do’s, and don’ts that helped me and can certainly apply and Russell can hit the ground running here in his first year.”

It will be interesting to see how well Wilson is able to perform for his new franchise.
