“Got you covered”: Rams, Staffords to pay hospital bills and broken camera costs for NFL photographer Kelly Smiley

The Rams and the Staffords have come out to help Kelly Smiley after her unfortunate accident.

The Super Bowl turned out to be quite an event. The two best teams making their way to the biggest game in football, battling it out hard, superstars entertaining the world during the halftime show, it was a super hit show, to say the least. Moreover, for the Rams, the night was extra special as they walked home with the coveted title.

As expected, the Rams, with the trophy have toured to several places with heaps of fans joining in to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars. However, on Wednesday, NFL photographer Kelly Smiley was badly injured during the team’s Super Bowl parade.

Smiley was actually taking photographs of Rams players when the unfortunate incident transpired. She was near Matthew and Kelly Stafford when she took a step back on the stage and fell down. While Matthew walked away after Smiley fell, his wife went on to check if the photographer was alright.

Matthew was criticized by a lot of people for not checking on Smiley after the accident. Recently, The Rams and the Staffords claimed that they will cover the medical costs and will replace Smiley’s cameras as well. “We have been in communication with Kelly Smiley since yesterday’s incident and we are sorry for what happened,” the joint statement read.

As we told Kelly, we will be covering all her hospital bills and replacing her cameras. We wish her a speedy recovery.” In addition to this, a GoFundMe for Smiley was set up where more than $43,000 have already been raised. Pat McAfee also came out to help Kelly and donated $5,000.
