The world was left shellshocked when it was confirmed by official sources that Haskins has passed away in a truck accident in South Florida. The 24-year-old quarterback was walking on the highway for ‘unknown reasons’ as per police when he was hit by a dump truck.

While innumerable people took to Twitter to pay tribute to the young QB after he left the world too early, a few people didn’t shy away from making insensitive comments about Haskins which infuriated a lot of people. Infact, talking about Dwayne, Gill Brandt said to Vic Carucci and Dan Leberfeld of Sirius XM NFL Radio, ‘I hate anytime anybody is killed or anybody dies. But Dwayne was a guy that was living to be dead.”

“They told him don’t, under any circumstances, leave school early. You just don’t have the work habits. You don’t have this, you don’t have that. What did he do? Left school early,” he claimed. Adam Schefter was also reprimanded on Twitter for his comments on Dwayne after his death.

Talking about the same, Shannon Sharpe took to Twitter and lashed out at people who are busy talking trash about a guy who recently left the mortal world. “There’s been some negativity said and posted after the tragic passing of Dwayne Haskins. Today wasn’t the time for that,” he said.

During this time I pray God brings peace and comfort to the family, love ones and friends impacted by this terrible tragedy. RIPDwayneHaskins,” he added. Indeed, this isn’t the time to criticize someone whose family is aching after losing a young lad.
