Micah Parsons, who plies his trade for the Dallas Cowboys as a rookie linebacker, created quite a stir in college football before making his way into the biggest league. Drafted by the Cowboys in the first draft in 2021, Parsons achieved several accolades as a sophomore back in 2019.
The Cowboys looked in good touch in their last game where they ended up defeating the Falcons by a staggering margin of 43-3 after getting defeated by the Broncos in the encounter prior to that. Before their next encounter against the Chiefs, Parsons had a few things to say about Patrick Mahomes.
“He says things like this and backs it up with his performances”: Bayless on Parsons statement on Mahomes
In an interaction with the media on Wednesday, Parsons claimed that he is incredibly excited to play against Patrick Mahomes. He called him a future Hall of Famer and even went on to claim that he likes playing as him in the Madden video game series.
“His throwing power. His ability to throw no-looks. I mean, this is a guy I like on Madden. So my first time playing him, I’m really excited to see what he does in person. He’s just a terrific player, future Hall of Famer,” Parsons said. Talking about the same, TV personality Skip Bayless admitted that this young rookie is known for making such statements.
“This kid is known for saying things like this and backing it up,” he said. He claimed that Micah is talking like he is going to sit on the sidelines and watch him play in person, “No, you have to sack him,” he stated. However, Bayless also praised Micah for his impressive performances.
“Micah is crucial to the outcome of this game. He has entered into the discussion as the Defensive Player of the Year,” he added. Indeed, Micah has enjoyed his time on the field this season. He has 44 tackles, 6.0 sacks 15 QB hits, 11 tackles for loss, two passes defended, and one forced fumble. Moreover, he has 3.5 sacks over the past two games which are quite impressive.
