“You want to tell me that’s great,” Skip Bayless sceptical of Odell Beckham Jr’s impact on the LA Rams despite reaching the Super Bowl

Odell Beckham Jr took a giant leap in his career during the midseason when he left the Cleveland Browns to sign for the Los Angeles Rams. The move has paid dividends for both Odell and the Rams, and they will now be playing in the Super Bowl championships.

The Rams came off a 20-17 victory against the San Francisco 49ers in their divisional championship match and have set a date against the Cincinnati Bengals to have a shot at winning the Super Bowl at home this time around.

The impact, Odell Beckham Jr has had on the side has been nothing short of brilliant. The wide receiver has combined exceedingly well with Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and the other teammates who have welcomed him to the side and made him feel a part of the unit.

OBJ was a key figure during the Rams’ victory over the 49ers as he caught nine passes for 113 yards. However, despite his strong performances, the wide receiver did not seem to win over everyone. One of them whom he definitely did not convince was Undisputed podcast host, Skip Bayless who brought out the statistics to show why he does not rate OBJ highly despite him making it into the Super Bowl LVI.

Skip Bayless said, “Odell joins at midseason, he’s up and running playing a bit of football for Cleveland Browns. Odell over the final 8 regular-season games since joining the Rams: averages 3.4 catches for 38 yards a game. And you want to tell me that’s great?”

Skip Bayless did not stop there and compared his returns to that of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR, Antonio Brown and how OBJ falls short of the struggling Brown.

The Los Angeles Rams

“Let’s compare it to Antonio Brown, who joined Brady and Tampa last year. Over those 8 games he played, Antonio almost caught 6 balls a game for 60 yards. So it was much more and close to double to what Odell was doing with Matthew Stafford.”

Despite all these criticisms, Odell Beckham Jr can be proud of what he’s done and now has a shot of winning his first-ever Super Bowl ring in the coming weeks.
