“He ain’t no Brady!” Skip Bayless tears apart Aaron Rodgers for his playoff failures

All eyes this postseason are on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. After a very tumultuous offseason following yet another NFC championship loss, this season has turned into a make-it-or-break-it-one for Rodgers to stay in Green Bay with the end goal being nothing less than a Super Bowl ring.
The first step for Rodgers is getting back to the NFC championship game and to do that they’ll have to get through a tough 49ers team that can match up quite well against them. If that were to happen and Brady’s Bucs survive the Rams, we’ll have a rematch of last year’s NFC championship in Green Bay once again.
Most people see this Packers team as the best team in the league right now and for the most part, they’ve played as such. They’ll need to play that way to make sure they handle San Francisco’s stubborn defense and if they do, it would be very likely that they can finally find a way to the Super Bowl. Skip Bayless, however, feels that if we get a Brady-Rodgers rematch, the outcome might not be what everyone is expecting.

Skip Bayless reprimands Aaron Rodgers for lackluster playoff performances

In a segment of Fox Sports’ ‘Undisputed’, Skip Bayless went after Aaron Rodgers saying, “The offense has been stacked with talent year after year and the Packers have gone 0-4 in NFC championship games since 2011. Obviously Aaron overall is 1-4 because he beat Caleb Hanie in the second half of the NFC championship game against the Bears. Aaron in the second half of that game, he stunk. He was lucky to survive Caleb Hanie.”
About his performances in the championship games, Bayless said, “In those games, he’s thrown 9 touchdowns to 8 interceptions. And the last time he played San Francisco in the championship game, he stunk. He had a QB rating of 23. Conversely, Tom Brady in 10 super bowls, he has 21 touchdowns and 6 interceptions to Aaron’s 9 touchdowns and 8 interceptions in his 5 championship games.”
” This is the 11th season that Aaron has not been in the super bowl and in those playoff games since then, he is 7-8. That’ not GOAT-ish. I’m sorry, he ain’t no Brady. I hope Brady survives the Rams because I can’t wait to see Brady back in Lambeau for the get even Aaron Rodgers memorial game because I don’t think Aaron will get even.”
Bayless’ words are somewhat unexpected but he provides only facts here. At the end of the day, Rodgers has not delivered since bringing home the first Lombardi trophy. Yes, in more recent times there have been issues outside of his control like poor defense but even in those games, Rodgers was not playing at his best.
This year seems like the best opportunity for him to put all the past performances behind him and finally get over this last hurdle but based on what we’ve seen in the past, when he’s been here he has not delivered.
