The Baltimore Ravens have had a stop-start season this time around. They have registered a couple of impressive wins, but have also been caught napping by oppositions on a few occasions. In their last game, the Ravens were thrashed by impressive Dolphins by a deficit of 22-10.

Lamar Jackson, who is often the ‘hero’ who guides his side out of trouble, was not able to deliver an impressive performance against the Dolphins. The star player faced the most defensive back blitzes of any Quarterback since 2015 during the game.

“He has been dominant throughout the season”: Tim Tebow on Lamar Jackson

Needless to say, Lamar’s astonishingly poor show attracted criticism from a few experts and fans. However, NFL analyst Tim Tebow came out in support of Lamar on ESPN’s “First Take.” He suggested that one bad game doesn’t mean the man hasn’t been spectacular during the season.

They’re not going to point back to this game because if you point to this game, then when you bring up (Matthew) Stafford, you can point to the last game against the Titans where he threw several picks and the pick-six that lost the game,” he said.

If you want to bring up other people, you can bring up Dak Prescott against the Broncos (although) he’s had an unbelievable season,” Tebow added. He went on to claim that everyone goes through a bad game but that doesn’t mean a player is all of a sudden out of the picture.

But every one of the players has had a bad game so if you want to say he’s out of the picture because of this game, you have to bring that up for the rest of the players. Lamar is sixth in passing; he’s fourth in rushing in the NFL; he’s doing it both ways in the NFL. To say he’s not one and two right now, him and Brady for the MVP, I just don’t think this game mattered that much,” he stated.

Tim stated that Lamar is still in a great position for the MVP as he has been dominant throughout the year. “Did he take a step back? Absolutely. Will people remember it? I don’t think so. Every other MVP candidate has had a step back; this is really one of the first for Lamar. He’s dominated every other game; if he gets back on track, I think he controls it,” he concluded.

Needless to say, Lamar has been simply magnificent for his side this season. He has been able to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat for his team and one bad game can’t really take away all the efforts he has put in.
