Ohio State Buckeyes have made it a habit to remain in the ace and they were once again rampant against a hapless and technically undercooked Michigan State Spartans. Leaders of the Big Ten conference, the Buckeyes currently hold a conference record of 8-0 while their overall record is 10-1. The latest victim to their mindless slaughter was the Michigan State Spartans as the former imposed a 56-7 victory.
Quarterback C.J. Stroud was dynamic at the Ohio Stadium as he spearheaded the charge by completing 32-of-35 for 432 yards. His blistering dominion over the Spartans paralleled the single-game passing touchdown record in the first half itself as he registered six. Wide receiver Chris Olave and tight end Garrett Wilson, both found themselves perfectly placed at the end of Stroud’s picture-perfect passes.
A glimpse at the Twitter reactions about this incredible victory by the Ohio State Buckeyes
Olave grabbed seven catches for 140 yards with two touchdowns while Wilson bagged seven catches for 126 yards and executed two touchdowns. Running back Master Teague III spearheaded the Bucks’ charge with 25 rushes for 95 yards. He also scored a touchdown just four minutes from regulation time.
The Spartans were left reeling with the stars circling around their heads as the Heisman favourite, running back Kenneth Walker III had a reticent night. The man who is leading the rushes at the moment could only grab 25 yards on six carries that is a proverbial mile adrift of his average. The Spartans signal-caller Payton Thorne struggled against the Buckeyes’ defence as he could only register 14 of 36 passes for 158 yards and chronicled just one touchdown.
The Spartans could only flip in 12 first downs while Ohio bagged 36. The dominion of the Buckeyes was so palpable that they displayed the luxury of subbing the opening quarterback Stroud with Kyle McCord after the Buckeyes miffed an attempt at scoring a field goal. Twitter went berserk as Ohio State Buckeyes were simply inexorable and rampant against a wilted Vikings.
