Connor Bedard has taken the NHL by storm since his debut. The 18-year-old has been in great form since his first game for the Chicago Blackhawks and recently scored his first home goal. For his excellent start to the season, many would have thought he would receive praise from his coach. Unfortunately, he has been demoted from the team following his team’s 3-5 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.

A player of Bedard’s caliber is being demoted despite playing well, what could be the reason? Well, it seems coach Luke Richardson has been forced to do so. An injury to Taylor Hall has also seen the effects being felt on Bedard. The rookie will now play center while lining up with veterans Nick Foligno and Tyler Johnson.

In the next meeting of the Blackhawks against the Boston Bruins, the former Regina Pats captain will not be playing with Taylor Raddysh and Andreas Athanasiou. Since making his presence felt on the big stage, he has started to influence the game style of stars like Auston Matthews and others. How will he do in this new role will be interesting to see.

Taylor Hall injury to derail Connor Bedard’s epic start to the season?

Since shining in the minors, Connor Bedard was the number one draft pick of this year. He has shown why every team wanted him. The 18-year-old sensation currently leads the league in rookies with the most goals. However, an injury to Taylor Hall has now seen him receive a demotion from the squad. Will this injury derail his epic start to the season?

The Blackhawks announced that Hill would be out for a few weeks after reinjuring his right shoulder. The experienced attacker suffered his unfortunate scenario during the game against the Vegas Golden Knights. Lucas Reichel will now take the place of Bedard with the latter now replacing the injured forward in the place, placing him without the best possible teammates.

With Rachiel able to play almost everywhere in the forward role, one member was likely going to be axed. With him probably being the youngest of them all, Bedard had to take the short stick. Hall’s return from injury could see him get back his promotion.

Fans are now worried that this move could spoil the season for Bedard. However, realistically, the season is long and the young gun will probably get more chances in the future to move forward. After the game against the Bruins, the Blackhawks will face the Golden Knights once again. This time they will try to avenge the 3-5 defeat suffered earlier this season.
