After a few weeks of theories form the fans and media, Novak Djokovic decided to travel to the USA for Cincinnati masters and the US Open. Because of the quarantine policies, Novak Djokovic was concerned whether he will be able to play the tournament that is going to take place in Rome after the US Open. However, After hearing about the relaxation in the policies, Djokovic flew to New York for the twin tournaments.

Before he flew to New York he was with World. 97 Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, practicing on a hard court at his residence in Marbella, Spain. Later in an interview, Fokina revealed his experience of training with the world No1. Novak Djokovic.

Alejandro Davidovich in an interview with Eurosport, mentioned that he is in awe of Djokovic’s mental toughness and skills, and how is willing to achieve this feat. He said that “His mentality is number one, and it will take a lot of time for me tho get there. However, there is not much difference, it is more a matter of approach towards the game”

When asked how was his experience of training with Djokovic, Alejandro gushed about how easygoing he is. He said, “He is a total different person on and off the field and you will get to know this only when you interact with him.”

The Spanish player also talked about Rafael Nadal, although he is yet to train with him. He is very impressed with the agility of Nadal and his approach towards the game. He said, “Both Nadal and Djokovic are a stone but are very different. Even though they have traveled the same path, but they have a different approach towards the game. I am just waiting for the day when I will get a chance to train with Nadal.”
