Riley Gaines was renowned as a skilled college swimmer until 2022. Globally recognized as an icon of equity in female athletics, she actively denounces radical ideologies surrounding gender. Gaines elucidated her reasons for feeling the need to voice her thoughts during the interview, as well as the source of her courage despite encountering harsh backlash.

In her opinion, playing a sport revolved entirely around the concept of winning. Had Gaines foreseen that she would be competing against men in her sport, she wouldn’t have chosen to participate. Gaines reminisced about their participation in the NCAA Women’s Championships 2022, where she competed against Lia Thomas, who was biologically male.

The trophy was awarded to Thomas instead of Gaines, even though they had tied according to officials. She stated that she had faith in the fact that someone else would provide us with assistance. She had trust in the notion that an individual tasked with ensuring their safety would indeed fulfill that responsibility.

Subsequently, Gaines has received both praise and condemnation, with trans activists specifically targeting them at San Francisco University. Gaines admits to not being fully prepared for her current undertaking but understands that God provides the necessary tools when God assigns a task. Rather than selecting individuals who are already prepared, God focuses on preparing the people he chooses, she further added.

Gaines has been receiving countless communication from girls and parents who are currently experiencing the same difficulties she once encountered, ever since she became well-known. She believes that women should start standing up for themselves.

As a means of protest, we must refrain from using or endorsing a particular thing. It's not easy for me to acknowledge because I didn't opt for that route when faced with a comparable scenario. I continued to participate.
