The French professional football club Paris Saint Germain have signed striker Mauro Icardi from Inter Milan on a four year deal.
Before the suspension of this year’s season due to The Coronavirus pandemic, Icardi joined PSG on a season’s loan and had impressed with 20 goals in 31 matches.
The 27 year old footballer contracted with PSG till June 2024.
No financial details were given, but Italian media reported the transfer costed 50 million euros with additional bonuses.
The French League was ended with 10 rounds remaining after the government called off the domestic competition. But PSG remained in contention to win the Champions League for the first time after reaching the quarter-finals.
Icardi scored 124 goals in 219 games for club Inter Milan.
Due to the Coronavirus crisis, France was one of the first countries in Europe to suspend its football competition. Germany’s Bundesliga already returns in action with matches being hosted behind the closed doors.
