Roger Federer is probably the most loved and respected athlete in the tennis fraternity. The Swiss legend has achieved almost everything to his name- 20 grand slams, World No.1 for more than 300 weeks, over a 100 titles, the list is never ending. And coaching such a player would be a high point in anybody’s career.

Such is the case with Paul Annacone. He has coached the two men who have won more Wimbledon titles than anyone else: Roger Federer (8) and Pete Sampras (7). Federer and Annacone have had a good relationship and the later has always praised the Swiss.

He had earlier said, “Roger is a citizen of the world, he loves to travel around and loves having his family and friends and seeing museums and architecture and shows.

Recently, in the Double Bagel Tennis Podcast, Annacone said that Federer loves life and is the most gifted athletes he has ever seen. He also said that is is the icon of the sport.

Annacone said: “Roger’s an icon. He goes everywhere and it’s tough to go anywhere, because he doesn’t get much peace and quiet and it doesn’t drain him. He loves life, and he is one of the most gifted athletes I’ve ever seen.”

Roger Federer will play two tournaments this Clay season. He will be playing the ATP 250 event in Geneva before playing the French Open. Although he had earlier admitted that he will be targeting Wimbledon and Tokyo Olympics this year.
