Manchester United faced Tottenham in a battle of the two “Traditional Top 6”. Both the clubs were aiming to finish in the top 5 to qualify for the Champions League. Other matches on Saturday witnessed Watford hosting Leicester, Brighton against Arsenal. West Ham vs Wolverhampton concluded the matches for the day.

Result: The match ended in a 1-1 draw

Bergwijn gave the lead in the first half to Spurs after his powerful shot went straight through the hands of De Gea. Manchester United started controlling more possession in the second half. Pogba came on in the second half and won a penalty with 10 minutes left on the clock. Bruno Fernandes calmly converted the penalty. In the last minute of play, United were awarded another penalty, however VAR overturned the decision. As a result, United stay fifth on 46 points while Tottenham are on 8th with 42 points.

Result: The match ended in a 1-1 draw

Drama at the death at Vicarage road! Leicester looked to have snatched the 3 points when Chillwell rocketed the ball in the 90th min. Their celebrations were short lived as Craig Dawson scored an overhead kick to steal the points. As a result, Leicester remained 3rd on 54 points while Watford are on 28 points at 16th.

Match 3: Brighton vs Arsenal

Result: Brighton won by a margin of 2-1

Brighton stunned Arsenal who suffered their 2nd consecutive loss. The first half ended with a horrific injury to Bernd Leno. Brighton scored 2 late goals after Pepe had given Arsenal the lead. As a result, Arsenal slipped to 10th while Brighton are on 15th with 32 points.

Match 4: West Ham vs Wolverhampton

Result: Wolves won by a margin of 2-0

Wolves continued their impressive season after the restart at as well. Two second half goals meant Wolves move upto 6th, level on points with United who are 5th. West Ham due to the loss are in 17th, just above relegation zone.
