Here are the player ratings for the Premier League fixture between Brentford vs Chelsea

The Bees played their eight match of the season against the current table toppers, Chelsea. The match was a home game for the Bees as it was held at Brentford Community stadium in London.

The match was going to be a tough one for the Bees as Chelsea have been in sublime form. The blues struck firmly seconds before the first half as Ben Chilwell pounced on a loose ball and scored a screamer with his left foot into the top left corner of the goal post.

The match and the possession was pretty much in the favour of Chelsea and as the final whistle blew, it was the visiting team who walked into their dugouts with their heads held high and three good points in their pocket.

David Raya (GK) (6.7/10) : There was not much Raya could do about the scorcher from Ben Chilwell. He had no chance of saving that goal. Apart from that, he made some really good high claims but he didn’t earn his clean sheet.

Mathias Jørgensen (6.8/10) : Mathias had a decent game overall, however he lost possession on one too many occasions and couldn’t help his team with impactful defence.

Pontus Jansson (6.7/10) : The captain did a fantastic job at challenges ariel dules and he did win himself a fair few of them but couldn’t help his team get over the line after conceding.

Ethan Pinnock (7.5/10) : Ethan did a fantabulous job at moving the ball around. He was unbeaten at ariel duels but he did have his fallouts in the game. He did miss out on a big goal scoring opportunity while being on target.

Sergi Canos (6.2/10) : Canos had one of the worst games possible. He found really difficult to get control of the ball and he lost possession on way too many occasions that definitely hurt the team’s gameplay.

Frank Onyeka (6.5/10) : Just the 67 minutes on the clock for Frank Onyeka. He fouled the Chelsea midfielders one too many times and he lost posession successively. He did try challenging the opposing players with ground duels but failed on more occasions that earning succes.

Christian Nørgaard (7.2/10) : Christian Nørgaard was impressive with his pace and quick foot movement. He had way too many attempts at goal and never let Mendy rest even for a bit. However, he failed to convert any of those gallantry attempts.

Mathias Jensen (6.3/10) : Mathias didn’t impact the Bees and didn’t contribute in any which way. He failed at ground duels as he won just three duels out of ten. That lead him to losing possession on 18 occasions.

Rico Henry (7/10) : The winger had a much better game than any other player on his team. He was mighty impressive with ground duels and ariel duels. He did make valuable clearences too to help his team keep their spirits up.

Bryan Mbeumo (7.1/10) : Bryan lost possession on way too many occasions but he did really well with keeping the ball rolling towards the goal scoring opportunity. He had two off target attempts under his belt but that’s about it.

Ivan Toney (7.1/10) : Ivan did an impeccable job at ariel duels. He made one too many challenges and almost won each of those challenges. He did loose a lot of possession but his skills with the ball were a delight to watch.

Edouard Mendy (GK) (8.5/10) : Eduoard Mendy was the star of the match for Chelsea. He stood there like a iron wall for Chelsea’s defence and made one too many saves to ensure his team walks off with a clean sheet.

Trevoh Chalobah (7.8/10) : Trevoh was really quick with his feet which helped him win multiple tackles and duels. He did fail at ariel duels but he surely knew his way around making some fantastic clearences.

Andreas Christensen (7/10) : Christensen had a decent game as compared to his other teammates. He did poorly at ariel duels but he made up for it by blocking shots and making valuable clearances.

Malang Sarr (7.1/10) : Malang was one of the crucial prospects of the game. He had the most encounters with the incoming ball and he made as many as ten clearences to keep the ball steer clear off the Chelsea box.

César Azpilicueta (6.6/10) : The captain had a decent game overall for Chelsea. However, he barely made an impactful performance for his side and really had his struggling moments throughout the game.

N’Golo Kanté (6.5/10) : N’Golo Kanté had a rather disappointing game as he couldn’t impact the match or live up to the expectations of his performances. He consecutively lost the ground duels he came across and lost possession on too many occasions.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (7.1/10) : Ruben was exceptional with his ground duels. He won almost every other ground duel which helped him keep the ball rolling for his team and helped with the team’s possession.

Mateo Kovačić (6.5/10) : Mateo just had the 65 minutes in the clock and in that short stint of his one off target shot and lost possession on multiple occasions. He did make a nice run towards the bees box but he was denied by the defenders.

Ben Chilwell (/10) : Chilwell scored the opening goal of the match for Chelsea at the stroke of the first half. He scored a screamer with his left foot into the top left corner after pouncing on a loose ball on the edge of the box.

Timo Werner (/10) : Werner didn’t have too many goal scoring opportunities neither didn’t create one. However, he had an average game overall

Romelu Lukaku (/10) : Lukaku just had the one off target attempt and apart from that the huge Chelsea signing didn’t impact the game in any way.


Mason Mount (6.5/10) : Mount replaced Kovačić in the 65th minute to make his way to the centre . In his short stint on the pitch, he did a decent job by keeping the ball moving.
