Premier League: Everton vs Burnley

Everton defeated Burnley by three goals to nil in the Premier League on Monday night at Goodison Park. Keane, Townsend and Gray got on the scoresheet for the Evertonian blue whereas Ben Mee got the solitary goal for the visitors. A great game from Everton who now sit at fourth position with ten points in the bag.

Jordan Pickford(6/10)- Not an impressive performance from Pickford who could’ve conceded a goal after rushing out to Tarkowski. 

Yerry Mina( 6/10)- Mina made use of his physicality but was beaten once by Brownhill in the first half 

Ben Godfrey(6/10)- The defender was average and was replaced by Andre Gomes as Benitez switched formations

Keane(8/10)- returning to his former club, Keane scored the equaliser for Everton in the second half. 

Coleman(7/10)- Coleman could have registered an assist after his low delivery reached Doucoure who converted but the goal was disallowed. Gomes too could not convert from his ball. 

Doucoure(7/10)- Doucoure made a lovely assist for Gray’s goal and Everton’s third with a inch perfect ball. He was unlucky after his goal was disallowed 

Allan(7/10)- An average performance from Allan in the midfield.

Lucas Digne(6/10)- The French international had a decent game. Had one opportunity from a free kick but was unable to produce much. 

Andy Townsend(9/10)- After spending most of the match being tackled and hunted down, Townsend came up with a stunning goal. A powerful hit into the top corner. Man of the match performance from the forward. 

Richarlison(7/10)- The Brazilian was continuously trying to make things happen and tried to find spaces. 

Gray(8/10) – A bright match indeed for Gray who gave Everton the  extended lead with his goal.

  • Rondon(6/10)- Came on in place of Richarlison to make his Everton debut.

Burnley Player Ratings: 

Burnley vs Leeds United

Nick Pope(6/10) – A below par performance from Pope who let in three past him tonight. However he did make a stunning save against Townsend. 

Taylor (7/10) – Tough as nails Taylor made quite some strong challenges especially against Andy Townsend. 

Mee (8/10)- Ben Mee scored the  opening goal of the match past Jordan Pickford after an assist from Gudmundsson.

Tarkowski( 6/10)- Similar to his defender counterpart, Tarkowski too was extremely physical with a dangerous challenge against Brazilian Richarlison. 

Lowton(6/10)- the right back didn’t make his presence felt at all tonight. 

McNeil (8/10) – A very strong performance from McNeil who was bright with the ball. His brilliant cross to Wood in the first half should have been converted. 

Brownhill(6/10)- A decent game for Brownhill. He got booked after a challenge on Townsend. However he did bring out a good save from Pickford in the first half.

Westwood(6/10)- the midfielder tried to create chances but couldn’t break the Everton defence. 

Gudmundsson(7/10)- He registered an assist after his delivery inside the penalty box found Ben Mee who headed past Jordan Pickford. 

Barnes(6/10)- The striker had very few opportunities to make an impact. 

Wood(6/10)- Had a golden opportunity to make it 1-0 to the visitors in the first half but spurned it.
