Premier League: Leeds United vs Leicester City player ratings as Harvey Barnes’ quick equaliser settled the score at 1-1

Here are the player ratings for the Premier League fixture between Leeds United and Leicester City

Leeds United were playing a home game against Leicester City at Elland Road for their respective Premier League encounter.

It started out to be a really slow game but Raphina takes a magnificent free-kick that he won in the 26th minute to get the lead to the homeside. However, the smiles were all turned upside down with an equaliser for Leicester City in the next couple of minutes. Harvey Barnes curled a wonderful effort into the top right corner to make it 1-1.

However, ever since those quick ten minutes of action, there were no effective attempts being made by both the teams. In the end, the points were equally shared as the match ended in a draw.

Leeds United

Illan Meslier (GK) (6.7/10) : Illan had a decent game overall. He made couple of really good saves with the gloves but he was clueless to react to Harvey Barnes effort which cost him his clean sheet.

Diego Llorente (6.8/10) : Diego was really good with his feet as he was seen all over the defence. He actually made a good impression at Intercepting the ball well.

Pascal Struijk (6.8/10) : Pascal had given a decent performance in the match against Leicester City. He had a decent passing accuracy of 80% while it wasn’t the most convincing performance as his contribution was pretty less and least impactful.

Liam Cooper (6.6/10) : The captain surely knew his way around in the defence as he was quick enough to pounce on the other players to win tackles and interceptions. However, he lost a lot of possession in that process.

Adam Forshaw (6.5/10) : A very average performance by the Leeds United player. He barely had any contribution in the back and he successively failed at ground or Aerial duels.

Kalvin Phillips (6.4/10) : Kalvin did a fine job by creating huge goal scoring opportunities for his team and himself had a couple of attempts at goal. However, he really failed at ground duels and lost possession too many times.

Stuart Dallas (7.5/10) : Stuart made some really valuable clearences while Intercepting the ball well and winning tackles cleanly. He did struggle at making the long balls and crosses which cost him possession.

Raphinha (7/10) : Raphinha did a brilliant job at creating goal scoring chances and he himself converted a brilliant free-kick he won that helped the lead come to the home team. He performed brilliantly throughout the game. However, he did loose possession on multiple occasions.

Rodrigo (6.5/10) : Rodrigo was really active when it came to making goal scoring attempts. He made some really good runs and also had one too many shots at goal but he failed to convert any of those attempts.

Jack Harrison (6.2/10) : A rather displeasing display of football by Jack Harrison. He missed a big goal scoring opportunity and later lost possession on too many occasions. He failed to make clean crosses and also was pretty inaccurate at ground duels.

Daniel James (7/10) : The forward did a commendable job at trying to get attempts at goal and he found as many as five good opportunities at goal. However, he was off target on all five occasions.

Leicester City

Kasper Schmeichel (GK) (7/10) : Schmeichel gave his all in to keep the ball away from the goal. He didn’t let Leeds have the home team advantage with his brilliant display of saving goals and keep the ball away from the net.

Ricardo Domingos Barbosa Pereira (7.1/10) : Ricardo was very quick with his feet and did a really really good job at making valuable clearances. He won as many as six tackle battles and did a commendable job at winning several ground duels.

Jonny Evans (6.7/10) : Evans made six valuable clearences to keep Leicester City’s side of the goal, steer clear of the ball. However, he did lose the ball resulting in lost posession on multiple occasions.

Çağlar Söyüncü (6.6/10) : Söyüncü had a busy game as he kept on making those required clearences for Leicester City. Apart from that, he had a decent game and contributed well to keep the scoreline intact.

Timothy Castagne (6.8/10) : Timothy was mighty impressive with his ground duels and did really well by keeping the ball moving. However, he did struggle to keep the ball in his possession.

Wilfred Ndidi (7.3/10) : Ndidi had one good shy at goal but was off target on attempt. He was one Leicester City player who wasn’t afraid to take on the aerial and ground duels and when he did, he won almost all of them without any hesitation.

Boubakary Soumaré (7.7/10) : Soumaré made a wonderful assist to Harvey Barnes right after Leicester City conceded a goal. Barnes converted that assist into a gallantry equaliser.

Youri Tielemans (6.9/10) : Tielemans walked off the pitch with an injury problem in the 77th minute of the game. He had a decent game up until then, apart from missing a huge goal scoring opportunity.

Ademola Lookman (7.2/10) : Lookman did a marvelous job at attempting ground duels while also being really quick at his feet to win tackle battles.

Jamie Vardy (6.6/10) : Vardy had yet another disappointing outing as he barely got himself a shy at goal. Even at that attempt, he was off target.

Harvey Barnes (7.2/10) : Barnes scored the all crucial equaliser off a free-kick in the 28th minute of the game. He curled a wonderful effort into the top right corner to make it 1-1
