Premier League: Leicester City vs Arsenal player ratings as the Gunners clinch a comfortable 2-0 win

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal locked horns against Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City at King Power Stadium for their Premier League fixture. The match was dominated single handedly by Arsenal and that earned them an emphatic win.
The Gunners received the perfect start as an incoming corner in the penalty area by Bukayo Saka was neatly dealt with by Gabriel who drilled a fine header past Schmeichel to make it 1-0. It was not too late that Emile Smith Rowe pounced on a loose ball and drilled his right-footed home strike past Schmeichel to make it 2-0 for Arsenal.
The foxes had no reply whatsoever to the in-form Arsenal and ended up losing the match by 2-0. After a disappointing start to the league, Arsenal have made their way up to the fifth place with this win in their pocket.

Leicester City

Kasper Schmeichel (GK) (6.7/10) : It was a busy day with the gloves for the captain. However, he couldn’t rescue the foxes as he let past a header and a shot by Smith Rowe from 12 yards to concede two goals in quick succession.
Daniel Amartey (6/10) : After a disappointing display, Daniel Amartey found himself substituted in just the 45th minute of the game. One of his errors lead to a shot at goal and the foxes were down in the dumps.
Jonny Evans (6.8/10) : Evans had a good game overall. He gave his all in at defending and also was exceptional at making a good run with the ball. He had a good shot on target but was denied by the keeper and he missed out on a big goal scoring opportunity.
Çağlar Söyüncü (6.7/10) : Söyüncü did a brilliant job at defending but the two goals were the ones that hurt the most. He also was exceptional with his passing, having a 91% passing accuracy with over 100 touches.
Timothy Castagne (7/10) : Timothy did a fine job with defending but he lost possession on one too many occasions. He also performed decently with ground and aerial duels.
Youri Tielemans (8.1/10) : A brilliant performance by Tielemans in a rather disappointing game for the Foxes. He was brilliant with his crosses, long passes and defending and also made several attempts at goal.
Boubakary Soumaré (6.7/10) : Boubakary showed his presence throughout the game and contributed in each department required. He also did a good job at winning certain ground duels.
Luke Thomas (6.7/10) : Luke did everything right but when it came to keeping the ball to himself, he seemed to struggle. He lost possession on as many as 16 occasions.
James Maddison (7.310) : James had a good shot on target but unfortunately he couldn’t convert it for the foxes. Overall, he had a good game for his performance.
Kelechi Iheanacho (6.7/10) : Kelechi found himself substituted after the first half itself. However, in his short stint he had an on target attempt but denied by the keeper.
Jamie Vardy (6.2/10) : Vardy had a disappointing outing as he had just the one off target attempt and he missed that huge opportunity that could’ve turned things around for the Foxes.
Substitutes

Harvey Barnes (6.8/10) : In his 45 minutes of gameplay, Harvey had as many as five attempts at goal of which he missed out on big opportunities on two occasions.
Patson Daka (6.7/10) : Patson had a couple of moments with aerial and ground duels and he won each and everyone of them.

Arsenal

Aaron Ramsdale (GK) (8.9/10) : A magnificent effort by Ramsdale with the gloves. He kept every ball coming at him, away from the goal and he showed exceptional determination. He had two high claims, eight outstanding saves and four from the box. What a gem for Arsenal.
Takehiro Tomiyasu (7.3/10) : Takehiro made some brilliant clearences and interceptions in order to keep the Arsenal box clear.
Ben White (7/10) : Ben did a fine job in the defence department and coordinated really well with Ramsdale and rest of the defence unit to earn themselves their clean sheet.
Gabriel (/10) : Gabriel gave the most extraordinary of starts to Arsenal. He headed arsenal in front and got them the lead in just the fifth minute of the game. He received an incoming corner from Bukayo Saka and he drilled in a fine header to make it 1-0.
Nuno Tavares (6.8/10) : Tavares did exceptionally well with passing for Arsenal. However, he lost possession and duels one too many times.
Bukayo Saka (7.2/10) : Saka curled in an extraordinary delivery from the corner to assist Gabriel inside the penalty area to get the Gunners in the front with 1-0 on the scoreline.
Thomas Partey (6.9/10) : Partey got himself a standalone attempt at goal and despite being on target, it was saved comfortably by Schmeichel. He also made some crucial clearences for his side.
Albert Sambi Lokonga (6.7/10) : A decent performance by Albert Sambi Lokonga. He had an overall passing accuracy of 90% and coordinated well with others in the midfield.
Emile Smith Rowe (7.7/10) : Emile Smith Rowe blasted home a strike from twelve yards. The Arsenal players kept adding pressure and as the foxes failed to clear the danger, Smith Rowe pounced on the loose ball and drilled his right-footed strike past Schmeichel. Arsenal doubled their lead in just eighteen minutes.
Alexandre Lacazette (6.6/10) : Just the 58 minutes for Lacazette and a pretty average performance by the forward. Didn’t impact in anyway.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (6.9/10) : The Gunners captain had two opportunities of scoring a goal but went off target on both occasions. He also missed out on a huge goal scoring opportunity.
Substitutes
Martin Ødegaard (6.8/10) : A Decent performance overall by Ødegaard. He tried to go for ground duels and earned himself a couple of wins.
