As much as there were standout performers in the week, there were a lot of bad performances too. Here we take a look at the weak performers of the week, who would most like to forget this week, ranked in no order.

Standout misses of the week:

  • Lucas Digne: Lucas Digne had a terrible week this time. He was blasted by Liverpool fans for insensitive post on Liverpool’s Thiago Alcantara’s injury. Then he was run ragged against Southampton as the combination of Danny Ings and Che Adams proved too much for him. He was dribbled past 4 times, lost possession 27 times, won zero duels and got a red card too.

He was especially poor against Southampton and through yet another clear and obvious error, earned a red card. This is one week he would like to forget!

  • Daniel James: Being the worst player on the pitch in a dull and drab draw is something. Daniel James was started over Mason Greenwood and was expected to provide some fireworks as like season when he scored his debut goal against Chelsea. From there he became as he just scored 3 goals in 33 matches and his terrible form continues.

The only thing he had good was his pace, but what good is pace when he keeps running into defenders? Cezar Azpilicueta kept him quiet for almost all the time he played, before Ole Gunnar Solksjaer subbed him off.

  • Alexandre Lacazette: Another terrible attacking performance by him, Alexandre Lacazette was so bad against Leicester that young defender Wesley Fofana defended against him with ease. His only act of interest in the game was his disallowed goal in the fourth minute for offside. Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka need more chances to play more than him and Arteta needs to make a tough decision.

This tweet perfectly surmises his performance:
