Tottenham Hotspur were beaten in a London derby by one goal to nil at the hands of West Ham United. Michail Antonio scored from corner delivery to continue their winning momentum after their midweek win in Europa League.
Both the teams were creating chances and were nullifuying each other at the same time but the breakthrough came at the 72nd minute when in form Antonio scored courtesy of Cresswell’s delivery.
West Ham’s win means they climb up the table and occupy 4th spot while it’s time for Spurs to go back to the drawing board.

Former Arsenal keeper was a reliable figure between the sticks for the Hammers as he made some crucial saves from inside the box to deny the North London rivals. He reacted very well to stop Harry Kane’s header from close range

Ben Johnson had a decent game where he stuck to his right side and tried to cover up defensively. However, he could not go forward much to contribute to the attack.

Zouma was aerially sharp winning aerial duels to try to nullify the long balls and win 50-50s with Tottenham’s attackers.
Angelo Ogbonna 6.5/10
Ogbonna was at the heart of West Ham’s defense and was solid especially in the early stages. He made some crucial interceptions but fell short while making the recoveries of the ball.
Aaron Cresswell 7.5/10
Cresswell was surging forward constantly in order to aid the attack from his left-wing. His low cross, as well as lobbed deliveries, caused a lot of trouble to Dier and co. He also provided an assist for Antonio’s goal.
Tomas Soucek 6/10
Soucek had a great chance to find the back of the net by himself when Michail Antonio picked with good footwork but Soucek’s shot went over the bar. It wasn’t one of his best performances as he lost the ball quite a few times in the middle of the park.

Rice was a resolute and confident figure for the hosts in the center midfield where he was dominant. He made some very crucial tackles and interceptions to cut the supply of Tottenham.

It was quite an uneventful game for Jarrod where had the ball for very little time. He won some of his duels but could not create some goal-scoring chances from the left-wing.

Benrahma’s presence and the impact were nullified by Spurs for most of the time Spurs as they defended well in that department. He wasn’t efficient when it came to providing chances to Antonio.

Pablo fornals was very efficient when it came to troubling the rearguard and creating chances. He gave many key passes and created big chances and was very lethal.

Antonio broke the deadlock for the home side as he met Cresswell’s precise corner delivery to score from inside the box. He was very efficient and won battles against Romero and co.

Lloris could not do much to defend Antonio’s goal as it was much of a defensive fragility while defending a corner. He was decent apart from it as he saved some dangerous shots and made important clearances.

Regulion was constantly trying to surge forward and send crosses to aid Kane and Moura. However, some of his crosses were not efficient and resulted in Spurs losing possession.

Eric Dier excelled in the role of CB. He was solid and won majority of aerial duels. He made 4 interceptions and 3 clearances to putforth a good defensive performance.

Had a difficult time early in the game as Antonio was causing troubles. However as the progressed he grew into the game very well and won majority of his ground as well aerial duels.

He lost possession many a times but he was surging constantly to make things happen from left flank. However, he fell short while recovering the ball.

Skipp was a stable figure in the midfield pivot and combined well with Hojberg. However he could not create much chances.

Hojberg was very good on the ball and had an impressive passing range. Further, he also won all of his aerial and ground duels.

A rare uneventful game from Son where he was les involved in the attack and could not hit it with his wonderous right foot.

The attacking midfielder was resilient in his attempts to add some creative flair. He created some chances for the forwards but at times he was nullified by West Ham’s strong defense.

Had his titanic battles with West Ham’s left side of defense. He was constantly trying to make inside runs and send short passes but he was denied by Cresswell and co many a times.

The English start had a poor afternoon in West London as he had only one shot in full 90 minutes. He lacked the service but ciuld not make space for himself to create or score.
