PT Usha announces seasonal practice at Usha School

On Wednesday, Former Olympic track and field athlete PT Usha announced seasonal practice at Usha School is now underway with domestic competition.

She wrote from her official Twitter account that “Seasonal practice at Usha School is now underway, with the domestic competition in sight, scheduled Sept 12 onwards!”

Due to the coronavirus pandemic situation, all the major sports events and tournaments got massive hit and they have been postponed or canceled because of the nationwide lockdown.

Meanwhile, on May 17th, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) allowed the sports complexes and stadiums to reopen without spectators. And the permission has given for training to the athletes.

According to the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry, On Wednesday, India registered its highest single-day spike in COVID-19 cases with 8,909 more cases, which reported in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s tally to 2,07,615, while the death toll rose to 5,815. The COVID-19 positive cases tally rose to two lakh across the country.

Almost 45% of the Covid19 positive cases have been cured and discharged and The number of active COVID-19 cases stood to 1,01,497.
