PUBG Mobile touches new heights; Becomes top-grossing Game by overtaking Honor of Kings

PUBG Mobile is on continuous rise. It has become the top-earning game worldwide in July 2020 by overtaking Honor of Kings. The game has made an incredible increment of 10.8% from July 2019. It’s lifetime revenue reached hit $3 billion and $208.8 million in July.
According to Sensor Tower, 56.6% of the total revenue is from Chinese version of the game. Then the US follows with 10% and Saudi Arabia with 5.6%.
The Honor Of Kings dropped down to second place by just $16.8 million. This is also a Tencent offered game and has generated a tital revenue of $192 million in July. However, the yearly growth of the game climbed to 34.8%. Like the PUBG Mobile, the majority of the contribution has come from China. China contributes 94% to the game followed by Taiwan with 2.4%.
Monster Strike remained on third place, which is also its previous place. Pokemon GO climbed up to the fourth spot while Roblox dropped to fifth. On the Google Play Store, Monster Strike topped the table and on Apple Store, Honor of Kings topped as the most revenue generating app.
NCSOFT’s Lineage M has recorded its highest monthly spike in revenue since July 2018. It has crossed $75.8 million mark and has generated over $2.8 billion revenue in its lifetime. The game is majorly played in South Korea.

PUBG Mobile has grown phenomenally across the globe since its inception. The remarkable Battle Royale game has blown up charts in terms of download numbers, revenue, user base and yearly growth. The game has also been recorded as the top grossing all for Q2 2020.
As per another study by Sensor Tower, the game has accumulated $621 million worth of revenue in the second quarter, with over 2.7 billion game downloads during this period.
