Rafa admits he enjoys playing golf but not even close to being called a ‘Pro’

Just a month back, Rafael Nadal won the French Open for a historic 13th time and is now in par with Roger Federer who sits on 20 Grand Slam titles too. Nadal looks confident to claim this record all on his own and go down as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, if not the greatest.
However, it was recently discovered that Nadal is a man of several talents, the most notable of which is golf. Nothing seems to stop the 34-year-old from exploring as he took part in the Balearic Golf Championships in Mallorca last month.
Nadal ended the three day tournament in joint-sixth, with a score of nine over par after 54 holes.
In a recent interview with ATP, Rafa revealed that he really loves and enjoys golf as a sport but has no desire of switching to a full time career on the golf circuit. He did not succumb to the expectations of the ones who believe that just because a person is proficient at one sport, naturally he/she is good at everything else.
Nadal believes he enjoys the competitiveness the sport brings but is unlikely to turn professional at it although he would not mind competing at local tournaments if his busy schedule would permit him.
Rafa hoping to end his ATP Paris Masters drought alongside his 1000th ATP match win

Rafael Nadal along with the intense preparation and strong desire, also has luck in his arsenal this time with the absence of several big names from the draw – including top seed Novak Djokovic, Dominic Thiem and friend and foe, Roger Federer.
Nadal is the top seed at the ATP Paris Masters and will be facing countryman Feliciano Lopez in the second round of the tournament on Wednesday.
Nadal has never won the ATP Paris Masters but will be aiming to add that silverware into his cabinet finally. If Nadal defeats Feliciano Lopez, it will be the 1000th ATP match win of his mind-blowing career.
