Such is their dominance and stature, that whenever they lose, especially in the early rounds, it becomes the talk of the tennis world. Such was at the case at Monte Carlo on Thursday.

It was the upset of the year as British World No.33 Dan Evans knocked out two-time Monte Carlo champion and the World No.1 Novak Djokovic in straight sets. Evans held his nerve to defeat the Serbian 6-4,7-5.

He said: “Me, Federer and Novak have been losing very little for many years and so every time we lose, it’s a big news. But each week only one player wins and the others lose.”

Following Djokovic, Nadal too is knocked out in the Monte Carlo Masters. Russian star Andrey Rublev got the better of him in the Quarter-Finals 6-2,4-6,6-2. Nadal made the comments on the Big 3 not loosing much and his words came a full circle just a day later with his exit at the Principality.
