Rafael Nadal thinks that playing tennis behind closed doors due to the covid pandemic has been a very sad thing. But in the same vein, he also says that the tennis players including himself are lucky to be in this profession. A profession where you don’t have to worry about being in public and exposing yourself to the public.

He laments the fact that there are people who have to go out there and work normal jobs. Thus exposing them to the risk of contracting the Covid virus. He says above all else, the priority is the health situation.

Spain has had close to 70,000 deaths from the start of the pandemic. Nadal hopes for the back to go back to normal as soon as possible.

Training during lockdown was difficult: Nadal

Nadal was deeply affected by the health crisis during the pandemic. He says that he personally couldn’t get back to training initially. He also lost the will to do most things. But slowly, he started training again. Training at very low intensity and short periods in the beginning. The important thing was that he doesn’t injure himself.

But Nadal believes that it was a very tough phrase to negotiate mentally. Nadal is someone who likes to plan things, he is an immaculate planner, but without knowing when competition would be back it was difficult. It was due to all this that Rafael Nadal thinks winning the French Open in 2020, his 13th overall and his 20th Grand Slam, was so special.
