Wicket-Keeper Batsman & Star Bangladeshi player Mushfiqur Rahim has decided to put up his ‘very precious’ bat on auction in order to raise funds for supporting the fight against the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The bat which Rahim is going to put up on sale was the one with which he struck his only double ton in the longest format of the game against Zimbabwe.
Rahim took to Twitter and wrote: “This bat is very precious to me as I got my maiden double hundred in Test.Lots of memory is attached with it but decided to auction it for the welfare of my country men who are COVID-19 victims.Please come forward and let me help them. Stay tuned for further information-MR15..”
Likewise Rahim, several athletes have also come forward to contribute and help their respective countries to support their fight against the Novel Coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier, England’s Jos Buttler also raised £65,000 by auctioning off his T-shirt of the World Cup 2019 finals.
