It has been nearly two decades since the infamous s** tape of Ray J and Kim Kardashian was leaked online. The video, which is believed by many to be the primary reason that the latter shot to fame and became a big online personality is probably the reason why websites such as OnlyFans exist today.

The rapper recently appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast to discuss his life and of course, there was no way that the Hall of Fame tight end was not going to bring up his video with Kim Kardashian. Sharpe asked him where he was and what he was doing when he found out that the tape of him being intimate with his ex-girlfriend had leaked and was making rounds online.

What followed was Ray J being Ray J…the rapper gave a crude and unfiltered response.

It was so long ago...All I remember is how it smells...I'm just playing...I didn't mean that either, it smelled great.
Ray J said

He hilariously jumped behind the couch on which he was sitting to hide himself, in the meantime, Sharpe could not help but burst into laughter.

Ray J claims his video with Kim Kardashian is the reason for the rise of voyeuristic websites

With him, there is not telling if he is kidding or not. While discussing details of the infamous video, Ray J confessed that it is the reason that social media has stars that make a living off of creating sexual content. He believes that had the tape never leaked, the adult site OnlyFans would probably never have come into existence.

Everything would be different, meaning like you would never ask me that question...I don't know. Probably more people would be going to college, get an education to be successful. There might not be any OnlyFans and other things like that.
Ray J added

He is not happy with the culture that the video has inspired but admitted that right now, he is doing his best to “make it right.”

In retrospect, the rapper regrets the tape. He felt embarrassed when it originally came out and now that he is a father to two children, he dubs his actions as being “Wacky.” There is truth to what the rapper stated, since his video with Kim K opened a lot of doors for her and gave her a platform to establish herself as a media personality and an entrepreneur with multiple brands, many are dangerously following the same road hoping it will play out in similar fashion for them. Shannon Sharpe and Ray J spoke on a multitude of topics ranging from the Kendrick V. Drake beef, the allegations against Diddy, and more for nearly 3 hours.
