A Real Madrid player has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. The identity of the player was not revealed. However, the sources can now confirm it is Mariano Diaz. Mariano is set to miss the game against Manchester City.

Diaz is self-isolating at home, and more importantly did not train with the group on Tuesday. The news comes a week after Madrid lifted their La Liga title.

Madrid are to play against Manchester City in Manchester on 8th August. However, with the player testing positive it casts doubt over the game.

Real Madrid also confirmed it through their twitter, that the player who tested positive is Mariano Diaz. Diaz famously scored the 2nd goal in the recent El Clasico against Barcelona.
