IPL 2020 is scheduled to begin from 19th September 2020. As IPL 2020 schedule is out, CSK will face Mumbai Indians in the opening match. However, after 13 members of the CSK contingent were found positive for coronavirus. This has led to the franchise extend their quarantine period for one more week.
The franchise was dealt with big blow after Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh decided to pull out of this year’s IPL.
CSK to play the first match against Mumbai Indians
Add to that, a few of CSK players are currently playing in CPL 2020 and will join the team only after 17th September 2020. Understandably, Chennai Super Kings would want some more time to get everything resolved. As CSK are to square up against their archrivals MI in the opening match of IPL 2020, they would want to play with best XI.
All the teams have reached UAE & have completed their 6-day mandatory quarantine period last month. All teams have begun their training camp in a bid to prepare for the much-anticipated tournament.
