Rajasthan Royals (RR) stole a stunning victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) from the jaws of defeat as Chris Morris exploded at the death with the bat to pull it off. RR’s chase of 148 seemed to be going nowhere as they lost a huge chunk of their batters early. However, David Miller kept them alive with some assured and calculated hitting. However, the match seemed to have all but slipped out of RR’s grasp when the South African was dismissed.

It was then the Chris Morris show as the all-rounder rewarded the faith shown in him with a brutal assault in the last two overs that saw him hit four sixes in total off the bowling of Kagiso Rabada in the penultimate over and Tom Curran in the final over. He stayed till the end with Jaydev Unadkat who got the Man of the Match award for his bowling spell, and ensured that the target was overhauled.

In the 18th over of Rajasthan Royals’ innings, Chris Morris had not yet got going and it seemed like DC would race to victory. It was then that a golden opportunity arose to run out Jaydev Unadkat after the bowler slipped while returning for a run. Rishabh Pant gathered the throw from the deep and all he had to do was dislodge the stumps with the ball. However, he fumbled at just the crucial moment and let Unadkat get back in.

Unadkat then went on to add four more runs to his total and offered excellent support to Chris Morris who did the rest with confident striking. Here is how Twitter reacted to Rishabh Pant missing the run-out.
