Roger Federer voted as a ‘Champion’ by ITF


Roger Federer, the Swiss tennis legend has been voted as a Champion by ITF. The format of the tournament was held virtually by International Tennis Federation. All the male and female players have been featured in the tournament.

Through twitter account, fans voted for their favourite player. Federer defeated Andy Murray in the finals, There was a close competition between both of them. Federer got 51% votes and Murray got 49% votes.

The 20 time Grand Slam champion had earlier been voted over Aussie Lleyton Hewitt in the second round, Czech Petra Kvitova in the third round, nine-time Wimbledon champion Martina Navratilova in the quarter-finals and 22 time Grand Slam champion Steffi Graf in the semi-finals. In 1976, tennis players were recognised by the ITF.

During the tennis shutdown, Indian Wells tournament and Barcelona Open been having similar events.

The Madrid masters are also having the online Pro event which is started in 27th of April. Players are completing the games by using PlayStation 4.
