Dorisaken, another loyal fan stated, “It’s an extreme shame – there is no other tournament where so many of us meet as in Basel,”. ‘Fans4Roger’ Club is huge with 631 members from 29 countries. Meeting every year in Basel for the indoor tournament is always looked forward to. This year there was no such gathering for the home Swiss Master.

The lockdown in March ensured Federer’s rankings and records were barely affected. Now since the tour has resumed, his 20 slam record has been matched by Rafael Nadal. Meanwhile, the 310-week record of holding the number one rank will soon be overtaken if Novak Djokovic stays at the top till March.
