Leeds ended their 28 year drought without a trophy, by winning the EFL Championship. The Club ended their 16 year fall back into the lower league of the country.
However, the fans on this particular occasion created a ruckus for the council members. Leaving thrash, cans, food packets, beer bottles for the workers to clean up. Multiple dustbins were flooded with thrash coming out.
Further more to add more salt to the burn, violence sparkles during the celebrations. Several police officers suffered injuries after being pelted with glass bottles.
Assistant Chief Constable Oz Khan said, “Almost 7,000 people gathered in Millennium Square in Leeds; whilst the vast majority of fans were enjoying themselves and celebrating, there were a small minority of people who began to throw bottles at police officers.”
Reports quoted than it was a small majority of the crowd who were involved in causing the trouble.
