On Tuesday 7th April, Saurashtra cricketers Cheteshwar Pujara and Jaydev Unadkat had come up to announce that they will be donating some of their savings to PM-CARES Fund and also in Gujarat CM’s Relief Fund in order to support the nations fight against the Novel Coronavirus ‘COVID-19’.
Pujara wrote on Twitter “My family and I have contributed our bit to the PM-CARES fund and Gujarat Cheif minister relief fund, and hope you will too. We are thankful to all the medical professionals, policemen and women and all others who are out there working hard for our country and humanity.”
Whereas Unadkat also informs, “These last few days have been absolutely challenging for a lot of us. I feel immense pain for those who are trying to make ends meet, fighting for food and life, in this situation. Let us all stand united, spread positivity and do whatever we can for those in need. This too shall pass. Stay home, stay safe.”
Both the players have played for The Indian Cricket Team at some or the other level. Although, Unadkat also plays for Rajasthan Royals in IPL. Whereas, Pujara is a prominent test batsman for India.
In India cases of The Novel Coronavirus ‘COVID-19’ have increased to 4,421 and death rose to 114 while 325 cases have been cured. WHO declared coronavirus a Pandemic on March 11.
