Scott McTominay signs 5-year contract with the Reds

Scott McTominay agreed on a 5-year terms with Manchester United. McTominay who plays a vital role under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer breaks silences about his transfer rumours. McTominay graduated with the Manchester United Youth Academy. He made his senior debut for the club in May 2017. Since his debut he made 52 appearances for the Reds. McTominay was part of the squad that played in the 2017-18 Finals against Chelsea.

On signing a new long-term contract with Manchester United, McTominay says:
“Obviously, it’s an amazing feeling to commit my future for many more years to come and hopefully they’ll be brilliant years for myself and the team and everybody involved so I’m made up.” – in an interview with the Man United TV.

McTominay looks confident for his role at the club with a chance to further extend for a year.

“Obviously for me every time I train and step out on the pitch I give my best for the manager and the coaching staff and the players around me, and I’ll continue to do that throughout the duration I’m here and long may it be as many years as possible.” – McTominay said.

The Scottish International is very content for his future with Manchester United.

“Whilst I understand that we all have so many other things to think about at the moment, I’m so happy to sign this contract and play a part in the future ahead for this team,” the Scotland international said.

McTominay has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season. He missed his name on the team sheet for two months due to a knee injury. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer considers the Scottish as a standout player for the Man United squad.

“I want to be a role model for younger kids growing up and show them how you can get to a certain level with the first team.” — McTominay when asked being an inspiration to young kids (on Man United Website).

“I want to thank the manager for the faith he has shown in me and everyone at the club that has helped me to get where I am today.” — he said.

“I’m looking forward to finishing this season on a high and hopefully achieving our aims.”– he concluded.
